I'm Ashley Borum, a budding designer and developer.
I’m a UI/UX designer and frontend developer based in Ottawa, ON. I’m originally from Hampton, VA and will forever talk about my love of southern hospitality. I worked as an ESL professional for many years living and working in South Korea, China, Spain, and Costa Rica. Now, I like to build for the web and make things pretty.
My process
Define the project
I begin with project discovery in order to understand the overall vision of the product, as well as, to identify client goals and objectives. I couple this with thorough user research including user interviews, surveys, and data analysis to gain insights into target users, their needs, and behaviors.
Design the solution
Following the define phase, an information architecture is developed to establish a clear and logical structure for the design. Low-fidelity wireframes are created to outline the basic layout and structure, followed by interactive prototypes for user testing and feedback.
Deliver the result
Through an iterative design approach, incorporating user feedback and collaborating with developers and stakeholders, the design is continuously refined. High-fidelity wireframes that showcase the finalized look and feel of the UI are created and designs are fully documented for design handoff.
